This policy explains how payments work when you order from Whitley Bay Pet Supplies.

Accepted payment methods

We accept debit and credit card payments, processed securely by Stripe. The card types and any other payment options available to you, such as digital wallets, are shown at checkout.

Currency and pricing

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. UK delivery and collection from our shop are free, so the total shown at checkout is the full amount you pay. We do not charge any extra fees for paying by card.

When we take payment

Full payment is taken when you place your order at checkout.

Payment security

• Your card details are entered through Stripe’s secure payment form and sent directly to Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of security certification in the payments industry.
• We never see or store your full card number or security code.
• Our website uses HTTPS encryption to protect your information.
• Your bank may ask you to confirm your payment as part of Strong Customer Authentication (for example, 3D Secure).

Declined payments

If your payment is declined, your order will not be processed. Please check your card details, contact your bank, or try a different card.

Fraud prevention

Payments may be screened for fraud by Stripe. If we suspect that an order is fraudulent, we may cancel it and refund any payment taken.

Refunds

Refunds are made to your original payment method. Refund timings are explained in our Refund and Returns Policy. Once we have issued a refund, please allow 3–5 business days (Monday to Saturday, excluding UK bank holidays) for your bank or card provider to process it.

Payment questions and disputes

If you have a question about a charge or notice a problem with a payment, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. This does not affect your rights with your bank or card provider.
